AND SHE SPOKE

now in New York

"And She Spoke" is a transformative dance workshop that blends dance, movement, and theatre to elevate women's voices and challenge patriarchal norms. Drawing from both personal and broader perspectives, this project integrates feminist influences and fosters the exchange of diverse viewpoints.

The workshop will be conducted by renowned Dance and Theatre Artist and Mentor, Vaibhav Arekar, who has previously presented “And She Spoke” in Mumbai, Chennai, and California. Vaibhav is excited to bring a fresh interpretation of this work to New York City.

Through collaboration with dancers from varied backgrounds—encompassing differences in age, language, and upbringing—the workshop will encourage the creation of innovative choreography inspired by discussions on painting, poetry, and other art forms. This program also aims to develop an educational module to help dancers experiment with choreography and push the boundaries of dance and theatre.
